Where We Go:
Each day we will travel from Piura to Loma Negra. Travel time by bus is about 45 minutes each way.
What We Do:
We provide basic health care, dental extractions, reading glasses and prescription glasses.
Team Members:
All medical professionals welcome and needed including: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, Pharmacists, Dentists, Nurses, Physical Therapists and Counselors.
Nonmedical people are needed to provide support to our medical team and work in the eyeglasses area.
We also need team members who are willing to teach Bible classes for the children waiting in line.
Each team member will be required to have the following:
· Passport
· Visa - not required
· Immunizations
o Hepatitus A, Hepatitus B and a current tetanus are recommended.
o Other immunizations can be verified on the CDC website.
o Decisions regarding immunizations are personal and you are responsible for your choices.
· Medical Evacuation Coverage
We strongly suggest you have health insurance coverage that provides coverage in Peru.
o Evacuation Coverage is required.

Travel:
Typically flights are booked on United Airlines through a group department contract. Other arrangements can be made. If you have airline miles or points you may make your own arrangements using your miles or points.
LCU students – before making arrangements to travel on any airline besides United please talk with Andy Laughlin.
We will travel by bus from Lima to Piura. We will board the bus right after arriving in Lima and travel overnight to Piura. This is a bus with reclining seats – designed for traveling overnight.
Hotel Accommodations :
We are staying at “Posada Blanca” in Piura.
Meals:
The hotel serves breakfast. You will need to bring snacks from the US for lunch.
1 evening meal is provided. The rest of the evenings we go to restaurants and each team member will pay for his/her meal.
